February 4th of each year is observed as World Cancer Day. The theme for World Cancer Day 2025 is “United by Unique”. This theme initiates a three-year campaign to focus on the individual experiences of cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers between 2025 and 2027.
The campaign recommends more individualized treatment strategies to promote compassion, empathy, and diversity in cancer care. The campaign promotes prevention, early detection, and efficient treatment to minimize cancer deaths. The aim of observing World Cancer Day every year is to raise awareness about cancer, promote its prevention, detection, and treatment, and support those affected by the disease.
World Cancer Day is a worldwide platform for raising awareness towards all forms of cancer. It also reminds people, governments, and organizations to coordinate efforts to lessen the social, economic and psychological burden that cancer bears on people, families, and communities worldwide.
